In order to extinguish a fire by starving we need to remove the FUEL from the ‘triangle of fire’. This can be done in different ways but one example is to turn off the gas supply to a gas hob.
As you can see from the triangle of fire, removing the FUEL has now extinguished the fire. In some cases it may not be possible to carry out this task due to possibility of endangering yourself.
